Thanks to Mike Gonce in Oklahoma (USA) for letting two retirement age pilots go over his Nano in detail. We are very interested in purchasing separate Nano's but for one ergonomic reason.
While we are both under the pilot's maximum weight, we both have rounded bellies. This makes it very difficult to pull the control stick all the way back and operate the yellow throttle lever at the same time. Here are several options we came up with.
1. Locate the yellow throttle level and the red pre-rotater level to a throttle quadrant set up on the lower left seat frame.
2. Swap positions between the yellow and red lever's on the control stick.
3. Raise the yellow throttle lever 4-6" upwards on the control stick.
4. Move the control stick forward 4"-6" or lengthen the fuselage the same distance.
Some of these suggestions may get laughed out of engineers coffee break room. Others maybe doable. I'm sure there are many other potential older (and rounder) Nano purchasers out there with the same issue. Thanks!
