I bought a PTT from Amazon that plugs in to my headset adapter. It has a Velcro strap that I wrapped around he cyclic. I used removable zip ties to keep the wires out of the way. Using a Yaesu radio.

Update: I passed my Sport Pilot Check-Ride and have about 70 hours in the Van's RV-12 & RV-12iS. I started my Gyroplane training last week in Florida and have about 7 hours between the American Ranger AR1 and the Sky Blazer gyroplanes. I will be going all the way through to my Gyroplane Add-On and will have well over 100 landings before I start flying my 50hp Fuel Injected JK-2 Nano which I have will me. My instructor is providing transition training from what I fly to the Nano at the same time as my regular training and even is providing a training syllabus to follow when I am on my own in the Nano. If you can travel to FL, Blades Over Me at Valkaria Airport and Gyrocopter Flight Training Academy at Sebastian Airport will train you for the Nano. I am training with Raul at Blades Over Me and have also flown with Rich at GFTA. Both great guys and willing to help!

I am working up checklists for my Nano (using the ForeFlight checklist feature though I will probably use printed checklists too) and the more I have before arrival, the quicker I will be able to safely get in the air! 🤓 Once complete, I'll be happy to share them and get feedback/corrections from our awesome Nano Community!

Update: I communicated with Peter Solomon, Head of After Sales and Service at Hirth-Global Sales. While having no reason to believe this new fuel will be any problem, Hirth is not releasing this as a viable option at this time. They have NOT tested the fuel in their engines yet and can't give any data until they do. This shouldn't be any issue as the fuel will be a long-time coming in most places so there is plenty of time for testing. Cheers! I use ForeFlight for all my flight planning and weather needs though it isn't free, the basic package is not too expensive for all you get out of it. I use the EFIS TA by Talos Avionics. It gives a full EFIS using your phone or iPad's internal systems. It is plenty accurate for ultralight flying and even makes a good backup to the backup to the backup for Light Sport. Completely free with no account required. Once I get my JK-2 (hopefully in the next month or so) I'll get a phone mount placed and put this into use. Video will be coming.... eventually. 😏

US Ultralight Association (USUA) lists First Flight Insurance Group as their source for offering 3rd Party Liability Insurance. I went to First Flight Insurance Group's website through the USUA link and found absolutely noting for ultralights or anything that of the sort. The instruction says to select Airsports from the Applications Menu. I'm not sure when USUA posted this information, but there is no such menu. I only managed to find a Q&A page about the 3rd Party Liability Insurance dated 2018, but not through the web portal. I filled out their contact form and will update if I find out anything. Anyone else finding something through USUA?

I'm going to be mobile in a Motorhome towing my 50hp Fuel Injected Nano soon! I'll be sure to swing through Texas at some point when it is too cold up here in the north!

That looks like a very nice setup. My Yaesu has a cigar lighter plug. Looking at if I can convert it to USB, but might direct wire it. I was going to just clip it to my belt, but you have given me a much better idea on placement!

Measures 38” seat pad to roof. 45” back to rudder pedals. When actually sitting in it, there is a natural slouch giving a couple extra inches overhead.

I’ll do that today. I sit at about 37” ground to top of head at slight recline and I have a 2-3 inches to spare In the JK2. I am 6’2” 230# and fit just fine. Quite comfortable.

Hi Emil, Sorry for such a late reply. Yes the Gyropedia is the classroom training portion of Gyroplane Training. It is the founder's hope that it becomes the world-wide standard of training allowing Gyro pilots to only have to go through one training course to be able to fly anywhere in the world. There are also flying syllabi that instructors can use in teaching. I would try loading the Nano backwards if possible. The CG is very far aft with no pilot (person, not car) on board counteracting your added tongue weight which will cause trailer sway. As a rule of thumb, load 2/3 of the weight ahead of the axle and 1/3 of the weight behind the axle.

I completed Gyropedia last year. It is really good book work specific to Gyros. I'm planning on going to KISP (Long Island) to train at Gyro Revolution with Rob Lutz. It's about 6 hours from me so have to make it a working vacation. You can check his videos out on YouTube. I've talked to him several times and he seems to be a stand-up guy with no hidden agendas.
